The Impact of Climate Elements on the Recurrence of Dust Storms in Diyala Governorate
Abstract
Abstracts:
The study aims to demonstrate the impact of climatic elements on the recurrence of the phenomenon of dust storms in Diyala Governorate. The study included three sections. The first section dealt with the general trend of climatic elements in both the Khalis and Khanaqin stations for the period (1991-2022). The second section dealt with the general trend of dust phenomena represented by dust storms, rising dust, and suspended dust. The third section dealt with statistical analysis, and through the correlation between climate elements and dust storms, it was revealed that there is a correlation between climate elements and dust storms, represented by a direct relationship between wind speed, relative humidity, rising dust, and dust storms in both stations, and an inverse relationship between maximum temperature and dust storms.
