Representations of the Other in the Poetry of Muzaffar al-Nawwab

Abstract

The poetic text represents an expressive image of the self and the other, and through it, the relationship with the other is defined according to an aesthetic vision that reflects reality in a special imitation. The poetic text is an artistic expression of the impulses of the self / ego through linguistic expressive manifestations in which the poet is capable of evoking pleasure in the audience. Poetry is a unique literary work through which humans express their feelings and emotions, and through it, the creative individual reveals their concerns and sorrows. This revelation requires an aware critical reading that can closely engage with the poetic text in a way that understands and analyzes it. The more a text represents the self and everything surrounding that self, the higher it ranks in terms of aesthetic value. This research reveals that aesthetic through the study of (the other) in the poetry of (Muzaffar al-Nawab), unveiling the expressive capability, poetic mastery, and unique expression. The 'other' in his poetry is diverse and varied, according to expressive necessity and need, forming a phenomenon in his poetry that deserves attention, study, and reflection.
