Spatial Analysis of Community Services in the Rural Areas of Al-Sudair Subdistrict

Abstract

This research aims to identify the spatial distribution of community services and evaluate their functional efficiency according to local planning standards by analyzing the level of availability and efficiency of educational and health services at the district level in the rural areas of Al-Sudair Sub-district, which belongs to Al-Qadisiyah Governorate. The study seeks to support planning decision-making and improve the level of planning management, thereby contributing to the provision of these services in a manner that promotes equity and equality. The research adopted a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the reality of community service distribution and their spatial patterns, while the statistical (quantitative) method was used to analyze data collected from the relevant official institutions concerning these services.
The study reached several findings, the most important of which is the existence of a clear spatial disparity in the distribution of primary schools and health institutions in the rural areas of Al-Sudair Sub-district. This has led to inequality in access to services. In addition, the shortage of educational and medical staff has contributed to a decline in the quality of services provided to rural residents. Consequently, the rural areas of Al-Sudair Sub-district suffer from low efficiency of educational and health community services.
